Summer School Nurse

General Duties: Provide nursing care for students with special health needs during Camp Horizons Summer Programming

Location: Kennedy Elementary

Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday per summer calendar, generally 8 hours per day

Program dates: June 8th, 2026 - August 21, 2026

Responsibilities as nurse at The Camp Horizons Program
- Provide skilled nursing care and treatments (e.g. glucose testing, medication administration, nebulizer/inhaler treatments, etc. )
- Administer CPR and First Aid
- Maintain confidentiality and data privacy
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents and staff
- Maintain and update health records 
- Conduct health care assessment and decision making based on medical knowledge and licensure

Salary:  $25.98/hour


Required Qualifications:  Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse License, current First Aid and CPR certification, computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to develop good relationships with students and staff
- Ability to work well as a member of a team
- Ability to initiate assigned tasks independently
- Ability to effectively communicate ( oral, electronic and written forms )
- Familiar with computer programs for data entry - Microsoft Word, Outlook, Google Docs/Drive , etc
