Third Annual Regina Alzheimer's Walk
Regina Medical Center Sponsors Third Annual Regina Alzheimer’s WalkRegina Medical Center is proud to announce they are partnering with the Minnesota/North Dakota Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association again to present the Third Annual Regina Alzheimer’s Walk. The event will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2013, from 8:30 a.m. – noon Registration will take place in the Allina Medical Clinic Parking lot on Nininger Road. This is a free event; however, donations of any amount are appreciated and will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
Registration and t-shirt pick-up for the event will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by the walk at 9:00 a.m. There are two routes available to walkers this year: The one-mile loop around the Regina campus and the 6k option which will take walkers from the Regina campus, to Lock and Dam #2, back up Lock and Dam road to 2nd Street, from 2nd Street to 1st Street, around the YMCA, ending in the Regina Parking lot.
Upon completion of the walk, participants will be greeted by a cheering section at the finish line, and the unmistakably delicious smell of a fresh, pig roast donated by Divine Swine Catering of Lakeville. This picnic-style lunch will be offered to participants at no cost.
