Military and Veteran Services Community Event 4/22/16
Brooklyn Park Veterans Center and Dakota County Veterans Services will be outreaching to our military, veterans, families and the community at the Hastings City Hall, 101 Fourth Street East on 22 April, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This is a national, state, county and community effort to reach out to veterans, families and survivors by connecting them with services, benefits, services and entitlements that they have earned. This will assist in understanding what is available. This will also assist and help the veteran and family to identify needs by obtaining services, which offers individual, family, group guidance ,counseling and readjustment to civilian life for a host of issues. Services also include Suicide Prevention Awareness, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), military sexual trauma, bereavement and so much more. Veterans and families have earned these benefits through their service and all are provided at no cost. Programs have been available for years and some may have not taken advantage of them, where there is a need, conceivably every corner of Minnesota, county and the community.
