Free American Vocal Music Concert featuring Mezzo Soprano, Audrey Johnson

You are cordially invited to a free concert of American vocal music on Saturday, November 23rd at the Hastings Arts Center from 2:00-3:30 pm. Mezzo Soprano Audrey Johnson will perform samplings from the program offerings under her new touring company, Of Thee I Sing: American Heritage Through Song. The concert will feature beloved Spirituals and standards of the American Songbook as well as selections from Ms. Johnson’s program on the Women’s Suffrage Movement. Come and experience our American Heritage brought to life through music as Ms. Johnson weaves historical narratives into her concert, creating an entertaining, educational, and patriotic program. Ms. Johnson will be joined by pianist, Sarah Lockwood.

The event will be video recorded for promotional purposes. Therefore, each attendee will be required to sign a release form on site before the performance begins. Doors will open at 1:30pm.
