COMMITEES:
There are several opportunities for members to become involved in their community while developing professionally. Member can join any of the following committees based on their interest and availability.
Ambassador Committee:
- This group is the welcoming arm of the Chamber of Commerce! They meet monthly to visit with new businesses, new & existing Chamber members and celebrate community investments through ribbon cutting ceremonies.
Annual Awards Event Committee:
- This committee meets once a month from October - January to plan the Chamber's annual meeting and community awards celebration.
Business Education Network:
- Chamber members meeting in partnership the Hastings High School College and Career center to plan programing in the schools that teach important soft skills while exposing local career opportunities to students. This group meets virtually once a month.
Golf Classic Committee:
- In charge of planning the Chamber's Golf Classic Tournament, this group meeting once a month from May - August.
Tourism Committee of Advisors:
- The Tourism Advisors is made up of members of the lodging community, tourism-based businesses and city staff. They meet every other month on the first Tuesday to review marketing strategies that attract visitors to the community.
Rivertown Days Committee:
- This group of dedicated volunteers meeting 9 months out of the year to plan RIVERTOWN DAYS! A community celebration and music festival.
